For all the positivity in the world, for all the goodness in the world , it doesnt take more than just a 'demonic' push to send this very world tumbling down. This 'demonic' push refers to the hatred, the sycophancy, the backstabbing, the hypocricy, the lies, the utter disrespect for someone's dignity that dominates our day to day existence. All of us have bee through situatioons where these manifestations of the Devil within, have made their presence felt. And I am guessing 9 times out of 10 we chose to look and ignore.
For the lack of a better word, this is indeed the FUCK of the century where the good within us, is fucked at the altar of Judgement. No matter how feeble or loud, we choose the curb the voice within us which tells us to stick to being correct and choose the right path. No one does and I repeat no one does and what we are left with are pieces of the soul that are reminiscent of a broken spirit. The tragedy of doing evil or abetting it is that someone always pays the price. Funny no?? When we define god, the word selfless is used more often than not. If you look up the dictionary and put the word in context, it would mean no expectations from one side. But realistically, everyone pays a price either ways. Some pay by losing their lives, some by losing their sanity, some lose their belief in good, and some just lose themselves. And the best part is, that someone often has nothing to do with the actual deed which is carried out by a stranger.
What justifies losing someone you love due to the deed of someone else?? What justifies the growing cynicism about a world said to be filled with god's beauty(if there is indeed something like that!!). What justifies the 'lies' that fill daily conversations about things that determine the course that someone's life may take? What justifies a close friend, a confidante or even a partner lieing ? Nothing does and those who say everything happens for a reason can go take a hike coz its easy to play god and sermonize but tougher to take it on the chin.
In the world we live in today frankly , its the easiet way out to sell your soul to satan as it guarantees convenience and truth be told it is very much visible. But yes, we will close our eyes and say that god is busy writing our story and testing our will to withstand the temptation to succumb. The amount of time we spend justifying everything that happens around us would be better used for fixing things ourselves but lack of drive kills that as well. We all are ultimately a bunch of faggots who want to be at the level of least disturbance.
Yes, indeed it is the fuck of the century, and it has taken me sometime to realise this , but the fact that on a day to day basis the goodness in all of us is getting screwed and being replaced by self, hatred, prejudice, treachery , tells me that we have let devil win. We have proved again that , humans begin to deteriorate from the moment they are born and whatever purity one can see, lasts till the moment of birth. From that moment on, till the last breath, humans make every goddamn effort to let themselves down.
